An Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour at INSEAD, Askin researches social and cultural networks, the drivers and consequences of creativity and innovation (especially in the music industry), the production and consumption of culture, and the dynamics of organisational and individual status. He is particularly interested in the social factors and conditions that influence creativity and drive popular consumption, his TED talk titled “The recipe of a hit song” explores how and why songs reach the top of the Billboard 100 charts.
