In this podcast brought to you in partnership with the Brightline Initiative, Stuart Crainer is in coversation with Sheena Iyengar, professor of business at Columbia University,
and best-selling author of “The Art of Choosing,” which was named one of the best business books of 2010 by the Financial Times.
In this conversation, Iyengar discusses The Art of Choosing, a Columbia course she teaches called “Think Bigger”, and a concept she has named “The Authenticity Complex.” How can we as human beings in a technological world, navigate our choices and determine authenticity.
“Your job as a chooser is not just to point and say ‘I’ll have that one’ – that’s not where the value of choice comes from. The power of choice comes from your ability to create. Thinking bigger is the art of using choice to create not a lot of options, but meaningful options.”
