Bio

Born and brought up in Ethiopia, she came to the US aged 15. Studied at Stanford from where she has a doctorate. Co-founder of Black in AI. Worked at Apple (contributing to the first iPad), at Microsoft in its Fairness, Accountability, Transparency and Ethics in AI (FATE) lab and at Google on ethics in AI before leaving controversially at the end of 2020 after a dispute over an academic paper.

Thinkers50 Limited has updated its Privacy Policy on 28 March 2024 with several amendments and additions to the previous version, to fully incorporate to the text information required by current applicable date protection regulation.
