Mark Greeven (PhD, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University) is Associate Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China), Director for the MBA program Global Entrepreneurship Program, research fellow at the China’s National Institute for Innovation Management, the China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and Center for Global R&D and Innovation (GLORAD). Before moving to China, he worked as faculty at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
He has been collaborating closely with over 200 Chinese and foreign startups and advising Fortune 500 MNCs in China and in Europe about their innovation strategy and intrapreneurship since 2004. His expertise includes professional training and coaching, consulting, workshops and research on innovation & entrepreneurship, cross cultural management and global R&D in, to and from China. His work has been published in journals such as the Asia Pacific Journal of Management, European Management Journal, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Telecommunications Policy and Technology Analysis and Strategic Management and newspapers like The Financial Times, South China Morning Post and China Daily. He published a case series on Alibaba and his new book Business ecosystems in China: Alibaba and competing Baidu, Tencent, Xiaomi and LeEco is forthcoming with Routledge in 2017.
