The Hammond B3 organist in the band Men in Suits, Don also happens to be one of the world’s leading authorities on innovation, media, and the economic and social impacts of technology. He is the CEO of The Tapscott Group, a think tank that regularly advises business and government leaders around the world.

Don has authored or co-authored over 15 books on the digital economy. His latest book, entitled BLOCKCHAIN REVOLUTION: How the Technology Behind Bitcoin Is Changing Money, Business, and the World, is co-authored with his son Alex Tapscott, and is, according to Harvard Business School’s Clay Christensen, “the book, literally, on how to survive and thrive in this next wave of technology-driven disruption.”

In March 2017, Don and Alex co-founded the Blockchain Research Institute whose 70+ projects are the definitive investigation into blockchain strategy, use-cases, implementation challenges and organizational transformations.

Don serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Rotman School of Management and as Chancellor of Trent University, and, in July 2015, he was inducted into the Order of Canada in recognition of his “leadership in the field of business innovation and research on the economic and social impact of information technology.”
