Ideas

An award-winning storyteller, in her new book, Reimagine Inclusion, Mita deconstructs 13 myths about diversity, equity and inclusion which she says, holds people back from transforming their workplaces. To effect change in an organization, she argues a leader needs to practice inclusion, and to do this, they need to confront, understand and mitigate their own biases. Mita argues the DEI backlash is bad for business, and that inclusion is a driver of the business. Those organizations who recognize the power of inclusion to transform their workplaces will ultimately outpace their competition. “Diversity of thought” Mita asserts, “doesn’t happen without diversity of representation.”
