Ideas

Anastacia Mamabolo specialises in research methods and entrepreneurship. Her research identity is the role of faith and human capital in management and entrepreneurial activities. With a focus on South Africa as a developing market, Anastacia’s work has helped to identify the entrepreneurship management skills required in emerging economies. She was involved in the GIBS Project Orbit that explored business and management in Africa and was part of a research team that interviewed more than 100 C-level executives in Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Nigeria. 

Bio

An associate professor at the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), Anastacia qualified as an optometrist, which she practised for a few years before joining academia. During her doctoral studies at GIBS, Anastacia was appointed as the school’s project manager for the AACSB accreditation. She teaches on the MBA, MPhil, and doctoral programs in the areas of entrepreneurship and applied research design. She also supervises master’s and doctoral students.
