Ideas

Alisa Sydow’s research interests are in entrepreneurship, particularly in developing countries such as Kenya and Uganda, with a particular focus on technology entrepreneurship and women entrepreneurship. She is the author of articles published in top management journals including Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and case studies and papers presented at international conferences including AOM, EGOS, and EURAM. Alisa mainly teaches entrepreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship, with a focus on new technologies and impact.

Bio

Alisa is an associate professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at ESCP Business School, London campus. She is also the founder of Nampelka, a startup that provides a platform to connect women entrepreneurs from developing countries with international experts to create a shared learning experience. She holds a PhD in management and innovation from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and is the academic director of the MSc in digital transformation management and leadership.
