Christie Smith’s work draws on a deep personal belief that investing in people and creating a more equitable world is the key to unlocking growth for both business and society. If business is to thrive in the future, she contends, leaders will need to embrace a fundamental shift in mindset about how we engage and empower people at work, given today’s myriad complex challenges and vast cultural, geopolitical, and technical change. Her book, Essential, explains how to unlock management transformation, adapt to the new business landscape, and achieve immediate, impactful change.   

Bio

Christie is the founder of The Humanity Studio, a multi-media leadership advisory company that works to improve the way we live by revolutionising the way we work. She has also held roles including Global Lead for Talent & Organization at Accenture, as a senior executive at Apple, and Managing Principal at Deloitte. She has over 35 years’ experience advising C-Suites of Fortune 500 companies and holds a PhD in social work and organisational psychology.
