Drawing on her extensive research, Kandi identifies the common thread between those who manage to avoid burnout at work, despite high levels of stress: they exhibit a high degree of emotional intelligence (EI). EI skills, she explains, help them to perceive, understand, and manage emotions, thoughts and behaviours. Kandi provides practical tips for how to cultivate and develop EI skills through five key areas: awareness, regulation, meaningful connections, mindset, and 3Rx methods — recover, reconnect, and reimagine.
