Dr. Mark Greeven is a Chinese speaking Dutch Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China), Director for the MBA Global Entrepreneurship Program, research fellow at China’s National Institute for Innovation Management and Center for Global R&D and Innovation (GLORAD). Before moving to China, he worked as academic faculty at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. He is selected on the 2017 Thinkers50 Radar list of 30 next generation business gurus and nominee for the 2018 Outstanding Case Teacher award by The Case Centre.
He has been collaborating with hundreds of Chinese and foreign startups and advising Fortune 500 MNCs in China and in Europe about their innovation strategy and intrapreneurship since 2004. He has focused on innovation & entrepreneurship, cross cultural management and global R&D in, to and from China for over a decade. Findings of his research are published in international academic journals and newspapers like The Financial Times, Nikkei Asian Review, South China Morning Post and China Daily. He published his book Business ecosystems in China: Alibaba and competing Baidu, Tencent, Xiaomi and LeEco (Routledge, 2017) and his new book Chinese hidden innovators: from Alibaba to Zongmu is forthcoming in 2018.
