We believe that ideas have the power to change the world. This starts by making sure that all participants, speakers, organisers, and sponsors of our events are friendly and create an atmosphere that is welcoming and safe.
All attendees and staff of all Thinkers50 events are required to uphold our code of conduct. We prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, physical appearance, body size, or anything else. You are encouraged to debate, have discussions, and to build upon each other’s insights and experiences, but in a friendly manner. We also want to make it very clear that harassment, bullying, or disrespectful behaviour in any form will not be tolerated at Thinkers50 events. Any infractions or violations of this code will lead to the immediate expulsion from the event without a refund.
DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOURS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Offensive or impolite verbal comments
- Intimidation
- Deliberate disruption of talks or other event activities
- Intrusive behaviour, stalking, and unsolicited photo or video capture
- Inappropriate physical contact
- Harassment and sexual misconduct
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviour
Also, persons under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants may be removed from the event. Please use alcohol only in moderation at our events.
If you believe that you or someone you know at the event has been subjected to discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour, we strongly urge you to contact a member of staff in person or email as soon as possible.
