David Nour has pioneered the phenomenon that relationships are the greatest off balance sheet asset any organizations possess, large and small, public and private. His most recent book, Co-Create, focuses on profitability from innovative and strategic collaboration.
How do you describe what you do?
I’m a crusader to take strategic relationships out of the realm of “soft skills.” They are vital to any organization’s success, and relationships have quantifiable values.
Who or what is your biggest inspiration
I’m obsessed with understanding what the metrics of relationships in work, management, leadership and innovation will look like in 20 to 50 years…
What does success look like?
When you call people at 2 a.m., the first thing out of their mouth is, “How can I help?”
What is your competitive advantage?
Tenacity and grit… like most first generation immigrants, it’s in my DNA.
How do you keep your thinking fresh?
I have an insatiable drive to #NeverStopGrowing
How much time do you spend traveling?
200 days last year; unfortunately you’re never a hero in your own home town.
What is the secret of a great presentation?
Stories that make it easy for others to remember and repeat your key messages.
What advice would you give to anyone who wants to follow in your footsteps?
Beyond your education and professional pedigree, the relationships you nurture will pay dividends many times over.
What is your next goal?
To ride my motorcycle through Tuscany and Umbria.
Describe yourself in three words.
