The European Business Forum 2018 featured a fairytale by Andersen, tips for magic tricks, and a perfect innovation by Turkish Airlines. I want to share with you the story of this innovation story which I told through a journey from Istanbul to Odense and the impact it had on the audience.
Danish author Hans Christian Andersen was so impressed by Istanbul, which he visited in 1841, that he wrote, “The glamorous, fabulous and magnificent view you see wandering the narrow back alleys of Pera can only be seen in dreams in the north.” After he left Istanbul, he wrote a travel book in which he said, “When I was a child, I could never stop thinking about the Arabian Nights and constantly dreamed of marble palaces with hanging gardens and fountain pools. Now, this dream came true before me in vivid detail.”
