Thinkers50 EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED
The Thinkers50 EMBA – an individualized degree programme designed to foster unique networked & collaborative relationships for 21st century business leaders
LONDON. Thinkers50, the global platform for management thinking, has today launched an innovative, leading-edge, much-anticipated Executive MBA degree programme in co-operation with The National Centre for Leadership and Management (NCLM).
Since 2001, Thinkers50 has been engaging with, and biennially ranking, the brightest, most innovative management thinkers around the globe. Continually developing new ways to share the best management ideas, Thinkers50 has become the leading authority on management and business thinking. Now with the launch of the Thinkers50 EMBA it takes this passion for sharing new ideas to a new level.
“With over 25 years writing about and delivering sessions on MBA courses, and with the Thinkers50 global community of thought leaders to draw on, we have long intended designing our own ground-breaking programme. We have found the right partner in the NCLM, and we are delighted to launch the Thinkers50 Executive MBA,”Des Dearlove, Thinkers50 co-founder.
Says Philip Ayling, Programme Director of the Thinkers50 Executive MBA:
“We are excited to be working so closely with the Thinkers50 network developing this ground-breaking EMBA programme.” He adds, “The key differences between a good MBA and remarkable one, are the quality of contributor and the learner experience. To learn from the very best and then be able to apply that learning in your own working environment is the litmus test of the quality of our work.”
A traditional executive MBA offers core competencies, but little opportunity for practical application. The T50 EMBA includes the basics, but is able to go much further, providing each student with access to a broad network of business and management thought leaders. Programme sessions delivered by those ranked highly by Thinkers50 – professors, business leaders, authors, innovators, and more – will offer unique opportunities to engage with and be inspired by the brightest and best in a number of fields. And the interactions with the leading minds in management thinking mean each participant will graduate with a powerful network and broad mental wings.
Among the thinkers whose work will feature on the programme is Liz Wiseman, author of Multipliers and The Multiplier Effect:
“When Thinkers50 first asked me to work with them on sessions for their new Executive MBA programme, I was delighted to accept. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from their experience and superb network of leading thinkers around the globe.”
In this 2-year EMBA programme, participants will meet as a class for 6 intensive three-day residential modules with contributions from our global network.
The residential venues ensure that our “learning leaders” feel relaxed as they are removed from the daily demands placed upon them. The environment brings the time and space to absorb, reflect, and fully digest the extensive content delivered throughout. The contributions from the leading minds in management thinking ensure this will be a different kind of MBA experience.
Individualized and Curated
Participants will have a variety of aims for the T50 Executive MBA and these are met through our unique coaching and training model. Participants will have personal executive coaches with broad experience in coaching and business. Personal coaches will visit participant work places, gaining valuable insight for personalisation of content between residentials, and contributing to exacting challenges for individual learners throughout the 2 years. In addition, our T50 concierge ensures that participants are given an experience commensurate with their status as business leaders.
And Above All – Practical
“The emphasis of the new programme will be on the practical application of the best management ideas,” says Thinkers50’s Stuart Crainer. “We believe there is nothing so practical as a great idea. This programme is an opportunity to put that belief to work.”
The focus on practical business education strikes a chord with Mark Allin, entrepreneur and former CEO of John Wiley & Sons:
“Managers on the frontline in organisations are interested in ideas that work, models that make sense of their particular context and frameworks which improve performance. The Thinkers50 Executive MBA is built around this reality. It takes insights from the world’s leading business thinkers and helps managers put them to work.”

The Programme Director for the new Thinkers50 Executive MBA is Dr. Ben Laker, Director of Education at the NCLM:
