Arvind’s research examines the intersection of technology, work, and organisational theory. He studies how emerging technologies – including social media platforms, innovation and labour platforms, predictive analytics, cloud computing, and generative AI – are developed, deployed, and governed, with particular attention to accountability, worker wellbeing, and inequality. Arvind’s work provides essential insights into how organisations can responsibly design and manage emerging technologies while supporting equitable and meaningful work.

Bio

Assistant professor at Stanford University in the department of management science and engineering, Arvind’s scholarship spans ethnography, comparative-historical methods, and computational text analysis. He received his PhD from MIT Sloan School of Management and has received multiple Best Paper and other academic awards, including most recently from the American Sociological Association and the 5th Artificial Intelligence in Management Conference at USC Marshall School of Business.
