Hilke Plassmann is a pioneer in the field of decision and consumer neuroscience. She holds a PhD on Decision Neuroscience from Münster University and has been a post-doctoral scholar at Stanford and Caltech. Now she is the Octapharma Chaired Professor of Decision Neuroscience at INSEAD. Her research has focused on consumer decision-making and how our neurobiology affects our response to marketing cues. This work has uncovered strategic marketing implications at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, and economics.
In addition, Hilke serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Consumer Research and Frontiers in Psychology Section Decision Neuroscience. Her research has appeared in leading academic journals such as the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the USA, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology and Journal of Neuroscience. Her work has also received international newspaper, radio, and TV coverage by many premier media outlets such as CNN and The New York Times.
